The Hawtree Creek Solar project in Warren County, North Carolina highlights the growth of utility-scale solar in the Southeast. Completed in 2021, the site covers 1,000 acres and delivers 85 megawatts of clean energy. With more than 223,000 solar modules, the project stands as a strong example of large-scale renewable energy solutions in the region.
Power Ray played a key role in the project’s construction. Our team provided pile remediation, racking construction, and solar module installation. Each phase required precision, coordination, and a commitment to delivering uncompromised quality across the site.
The scale of the project introduced challenges in planning and communication, but our team overcame them with accountability and collaboration. These experiences strengthened our processes and helped refine our approach to utility-scale solar construction.
The project received the North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association’s Sustainable Project of the Year award in 2021. This recognition underscores the importance of quality workmanship and teamwork in advancing solar infrastructure. Hawtree Creek continues to contribute renewable energy that supports community growth and a more sustainable future.
